Create The Business You Dream-Dawn Hogan

Create the Business You Dream Of: Profitable, Balanced, and Yours

Each year, I make it a priority to step back and reflect on my business journey. In the early days, I used to rush through this process, overwhelmed by the pressures of growth and the next big thing. But I’ve realized that reflection is where true growth happens over time. I take time to look at what went well, what didn’t, and the unexpected twists that taught me the most. This practice not only helps me refine my strategies but also gives me a sense of gratitude for my progress.

As I approach the new year, I feel more prepared, centered, and inspired to take on fresh challenges with clarity and purpose. If you need help with where to start with your reflection, don’t worry. I have journal questions to help guide you through the process and spark meaningful insights.

Journal Prompts for Visionary Growth:

  • What does your ideal day look like as a business owner?
  • How much time do you want to spend on work, family, and self-care?
  • What income would allow you to live the life you’re dreaming of?
  • What’s currently holding you back from achieving this vision?

Take a moment to write these answers down. Clarity is the first step toward change.

Who Does This Matter To:

  • Virtual Assistants, OBM’s stuck managing everything for others but struggling to scale their own business.
  • Coaches who feel like they’re always working but never gaining momentum.
  • Brick-and-Mortar Owners overwhelmed by daily operations and unsure how to grow profitably.
  • Solopreneurs/Entreprenuers juggle every part of their business and ready for systems that save time and increase revenue.
  • Those Wanting to Leave the 9-5 and focus fully on their own business but unsure how to make the leap.

If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels without seeing results, you’re not alone. These are common pain points that keep business owners from scaling and thriving:

  • Working a 9-5 job while trying to grow a business on the side, leaving no time for themselves or their families.
  • Lack of clear systems and workflows.
  • Struggling to attract or retain ideal clients.
  • Constantly trading time for money with no path to scaling.
  • Feeling like there’s no time left for yourself or your family.

More Journal Prompts to Guide Your Growth:

  • What specific changes would free up more time in your daily routine?
  • If you had more time, how would you prioritize it?
  • What does “success” mean to you beyond financial gain?
  • What gaps in your business are creating the most frustration or inefficiency?
  • How would your life improve if these gaps were filled?
  • What is one thing you could delegate or streamline today to make space for what matters most?
