This has been coming up in so many client conversations lately, and I think it’s something we need to talk about more openly because the more we normalize it, the less power it holds.
Sometimes I think the most challenging part isn’t believing in what we offer, it’s believing others recognize it. That’s such a common feeling I hear from my clients. It’s hard to put yourself out there when you feel unseen, even if you know your message matters. I’ve felt that too: confident in my message, but unsure if others truly see my worth. That can make it scary to ask for referrals or share your work openly.
If we are honest with ourselves, we’re not stuck on what to say. Sometimes we believe we are. But we’re stuck on whether people will see our value.
That’s why you overthink. That’s why you avoid reaching out. That’s why you ghost your visibility plan.
And I say that with love because I’ve been there and so has every business owner I know. Here is a quick way to create momentum in just a couple of sentences. Give a try and let me know how it goes.

People won’t understand your value if you keep hiding it.
The simple truth is, you’re not asking for a favor. You’re offering a win.
When you invite someone to chat about what you do, you’re saying:
“I do something that helps people, and I want you to know about it just in case it ever comes up.”
Let’s simplify the ask. Here’s a message you can send today, no perfection required: (this is for those who know of you… like a friend online, networking event or even a friend of a friend)
Hey there [Name], I’ve been making space to connect more intentionally with people I know. I’d love to catch up and share a little about what I do, so that it’s on your radar in case it ever comes up. No pressure at all, chatting as if we were across the table drinking coffee. Would you be open to a quick chat?
Simple. Confident. True to You.
You don’t need to be perfect; you need to be visible.
The more you share your values, the more people are likely to believe them.
